I bought the companion a few months back now. Found it easy to use after a few days. Used it all over England, has worked very well. Used it just over a month ago from Belgium to west coast of France. Worked brilliantly. First time i have not got lost going around Nantes. It worked so well that on one journey we have made frequently, the time it took went from 30 mins to 15 mins as it found a road that was not signposted and cut straight through the middle of route.
I have a few friends that have other sat nav systems. They are surprised when they find out how cheap it is. If you miss a turning, it re-routes within seconds. Has been good also for towing our caravan. I set it for main roads only, this way we keep off the roads that our van would have trouble fitting through. No more dodgy times whilst towing. I am already getting my money back from the system from saved fuel and have saved a lot of time also. On one journey i came across a closed road. The police said follow road for 7 miles, turn right for a few more miles turn left and then back on road. Was going to take ages as there was a lot of traffic. System told me to turn right in 100 yards. a few left and rights through an estate i did not know existed and i was back on route. Took 5 mins.
After sales service is spot on. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them.
